Best Colostrum Supplements 2026: Are they worth it?

Over the years, I have tried dozens of colostrum supplements.

Today, I’m sharing the top 3 brands that stood above the rest and provided high-quality, sustainable products.

Over the last couple of years, I have tried a lot of supplement brands and colostrum products. In full transparency, I get sent quite a few from running this blog and having a health coaching business. It has allowed me to try a lot of popular brands, really see what sets them apart, and see which ones perform the best.

For every good one, there are probably a dozen that are not, and that actually could be potentially harmful.

This post shares the top 3 colostrum brands that I recommend to my clients. I’ve done the heavy lifting for you— all of the following products take colostrum from grass-fed, pasture-raised cattle, while prioritizing a calves-fed-first approach. Additionally, they are all third-party tested for purity. Plus, obviously, they are easy to take (no gross taste or clumpy product here).

Why should I take colostrum?

Often referred to as “liquid gold,” colostrum is the first form of milk produced by mammals after giving birth. It is naturally rich in antibodies, growth factors, proteins, vitamins, and minerals that help support growth, development, and immune health in newborns. So why would adults be interested in taking it?

The funny thing is this is not a new practice. Farmers have been stashing away some of this milk for centuries, knowing the potent immune and health benefits. One family in particular remembers pulling frozen colostrum out of the freezer anytime their family was fighting illness.

In recent years, colostrum has also become increasingly popular as a wellness supplement for adults thanks to its potential benefits for gut health, immunity, recovery, and overall wellness.

Gut Health Support

One of the biggest reasons people take colostrum is for digestive and gut health support. Colostrum contains compounds like immunoglobulins and growth factors that may help support the integrity of the gut lining and promote a healthy digestive system.

Many people find it helpful for occasional bloating, digestive discomfort, or overall gut support— especially since so much of the immune system is connected to gut health. For me, this has been a big help as I was navigating some food intolerances.

Immune System Benefits

Colostrum is naturally packed with immune-supportive compounds, including antibodies and lactoferrin, that may help support the body’s natural defenses.

Because of this, many people choose to take colostrum during cold and flu season, periods of high stress, travel, or whenever they feel run down and want extra immune support.

These are literally my GO TO times for prioritizing colostrum. Time and time again, I have seen us get over colds quicker, have fewer symptoms and just overall be more resilient to illness and stress.

Recovery & Wellness Support

Colostrum also contains amino acids and growth factors that may help support muscle recovery, tissue repair, and healthy inflammation levels after exercise. This is one reason why it has become increasingly popular among athletes and active individuals.

Some people also report benefits like improved energy levels, skin health, and overall vitality when taking colostrum consistently.

Why Quality Matters

Not all colostrum supplements are created equal. I always recommend looking for a high-quality, grass-fed colostrum supplement that is minimally processed and third-party tested for purity.

While colostrum is not a magic fix, it can be an incredibly supportive addition to a healthy lifestyle if you are looking to support your gut health, immune system, and overall wellness naturally.

Curious about the best colostrum supplements that fit those requirements? Here are some of my faves:

My Favorite Colostrum Supplements 2026

  1. Heart & Soil Colostrum

Not only is this brand prioritizing high-quality, sustainable ingredients for their products, but they also do a great job of keeping them pure. All of the packaging has minimal plastic use which is such a big win!

Another thing that really sets Heart & Soil apart is the variety in colostrum products— you can take colostrum powder, colostrum capsule, or their animal-based protein powder which includes whey protein with collagen and colostrum. So no matter what version you prefer, you have a high-quality option!

2. Cowboy Colostrum

I recommended this brand, and personally took it, for years. Personally, I have only liked their unflavored option. They have chocolate, vanilla and strawberry flavored colostrum, but they are all sweetened with monk fruit. And I’ve just never been a fan on the taste of monk fruit so I opt out of the flavored varieties.

Cowboy Colostrum also prioritizes grass-fed cattle, and they put a big emphasis on calves being fed first. This means that before any colostrum is harvested, the calves all get their share.

Also, they just have the best branding— it’s all so aesthetically pleasing!

They have generously shared code KAELYN15 to save 15% on any of your Cowboy orders 🤠

I love mixing this into coffee, smoothies, or yogurt bowls!

3. Armra Colostrum

This product is, arguably, one of the most popular and widely marketed options of the bunch. What really sets it apart it the flavor profile and the ability to mix it into water. The Blood Orange flavor is so refreshing and I loved sipping on it last summer. I’ve also mixed the unflavored into water with some electrolytes for an extra nourishing and hydrating drink.

The downside to this brand, is that it is very pricey, even beyond the other products in the lineup.

But if you find yourself wishing you could mix colostrum into water, or dry scooping it, this would be my recommendation

This is my favorite flavor to mix into water!

Which Colostrum Supplement to Choose?

At the end of the day, I have always noticed a benefit in my health, skin, and digestion when taking colostrum consistently. It’s not something I use every single day, but definitely most. Especially when traveling, working extra, or dealing with illness.

My recommendation is to pick a product that fits your lifestyle and that you will actually take. I can’t tell you how many health coaching clients buy a bunch on supplements and end up not taking them because of a lack of convenience.

So if you hate mixing powders into your drinks, I would opt for Heart & Soil Capsules. If you don’t like capsules, I would opt for one of the powders.

Ultimately, the most important part is picking a high-quality product that emphasizes purity and sourcing. I did the testing for you and can recommend any of the above brands for premium quality and third-party testing to support their claims.

Curious about colostrum? I’d love to hear from you!
